Growing up with the love of music has been a trait of mine that I have definitely passed onto both my children. My father was highly influential in that aspect of my life and I remember him exposing me to different genres of music from a very young age. His love of rock music has most definitely rubbed of onto my son, and my love for Michael Jackson has definitely rubbed of onto my 4 year old daughter. It’s amazing how someone that I started listening to in the 80’s can still be played today and enjoyed thoroughly, I guess that’s why people called him the King of Pop!
Music is most definitely a form of therapy, whether you are feeling upbeat or just not having a great day, an amazing song on the radio or from your USB can just brighten up your mood. I have also come to find that music transcends age and once you instill the sounds of music into your children, it never leaves them. I always played music to my youngest child while she was asleep, always classical at the time, and I definitely think it made a difference to the way she comprehends aspects of life. Not all music has the ability to bring about positivity, however when you find the right type of music that suits you and yours, let the music play on…
