A Woman’s Worth…

I have always underestimated my strength and worth as a woman and I am positive that I am not alone. I suppose as trials and tribulations come our way, our focus is on getting through those trying times and when they are over, we move on to the next thing, without giving a second thought to just how powerful we actually are. Our physical strength is unimaginable as we give birth – whether naturally or by C-section, and immediately after that, we are able to nurse our children and take care of them without giving our physical pain a second thought. I always look at our capabilities of being able to manage our families, our households, do school runs, work, cook, clean and still manage to entertain at the drop of a hat and still look the part. Our emotional strength is unlike any other, as we balance not only our hearts but that of our partners, children, parents, siblings, friends and sometimes complete strangers who may come our way.

Our capacity to nurture and love is beyond measure and we see this in our everlasting ability to care for our children without question.

Our worth however, is not only determined by these attributes, but also by our uncanny ability to see the goodness in situations that most would not be able see, our ability to be able to multi-task with some time to spare. Our ability to be able to focus on getting the job done, our ability to remain encouraged and encouraging, our ability to not let the sadness of the situation hinder us from moving on, our ability to have inner-courage that is completely unstoppable, our ability to survive the most excruciating of circumstances and to still be able to tell the tale, our ability to never give up or give in…These are but a few amazing qualities woman throughout the universe possess and yet, we don’t give ourselves enough credit for the incredible beings we actually are.

Here’s to strong woman – May we know them, May we be them, May we raise them!

A Woman has strength’s that amaze men.

She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens.

She holds happiness, love and opinions.

She smiles when she feels like screaming.

She sings when she feels like crying, cries when

She’s happy and laughs when she is afraid.

Her love is unconditional!

There is only one thing wrong with her:

She sometimes forgets what she is worth…
